Paper manufacturers leave FLA

Assi Domän AB, Korsnäs AB, and MoDo Paper AB has announced that they will not continue their commitments to the FaxénLaboratoriet during the year 2000, i.e. the prolongation of phase 2. We hope to be able to reestablish the cooperation in the future.

Alfa Laval project running.

In November, Gustav Mårtensson will start to work full time for the FaxénLaboratoriet on the project initiated by Alfa Laval Separation AB on turbulence in rotating systems. Gustaf will continue the work that Jonas Gunnarsson started.

Kick-off of SFF Programme Multiphase Flow

A kick-off meeting of the SFF Programme Multiphase Flow will take place at Aspenäs Herrgård in Lerum on November 18-19, 1999. If you are interested in participating you should contact Ulla Lindberg Thieme, ullt@tfd.chalmers.se, as soon as possible. New contact person at NUTEK

Susanne Andersson, Susanne.Andersson@nutek.se, has replaced Nils Markusson at NUTEK as contact person for FaxénLaboratoriet.

Individual study plans

Rules for individual study plans of graduate students can be found in KTH-Handbok 2, flik 26.3 , see www-address http://www.admin.kth.se/info/kth-handboken/II/26/3.html . The contents required in the study plan is described there in some detail. At the FaxénLaboratoriet study plans will be collected at each programme committee(Guidance group) meeting coordinated by the chairman of the respective programme committee. The status of the study plans are then reported on regularly by the scientific coordinator to the board in cooperation with the chairmen of the programme committees.
