Abstract13 moments equations correct to first order in the Knudsen number are derived from the Boltzmann equation. As a basis the full Chapman-Enskog solution is used rather than the corresponding Hermite polynomials. This was the method applied by Cercignani in 1963 for half-range expansion in pure shear flow. The new values for the relaxation times and the coupling coefficient between heat current and viscous pressure are calculated.
