Project description

 

·          Flow past circular cylinder

§          Look up flow case in literature

§          Edit available systems of equations

§          Build solver

 

·          Run solver with suitable choise of parameters

 

·          Try different boundary conditions

§          Dirichlet and Neumann types

 

·          For low Reynolds number: trigger the symmetric wake to be unstable

·          Mesh generation – Gambit

§          Included in the Fluent package

 

·          Solver: femLego (Dep. of Mech.)

§          Automated code generation

§          A single Maple file contains

§          System of equations

§          Boundary conditions

§          Initial conditions

§          The user can easily add or change any part of the code from Maple

§          Fortran code is compiled from the Maple file
