- Numerical modeling, high resolution paleoclimate simulations with the Community Earth System Model (CESM1)
- Magnitude and timescales of rapid climate transitions since the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM; ~21.000 BP)
- Statistical upscaling, multi-variate atmospheric field reconstruction, dataset of HiResAFF 1850-2009
- Wind and storm statistics over Northern Europe since 1850
- Co-author of regional climate assessment reports on topics of atmospheric circulation, storminess and data homogeneity:
