General Information
The goal of the KCSE graduate school is to
Educate students to a dual expertise in general computational techniques and an application area.
Promote interdisciplinary research.
Provide a comprehensive CSE course package.
Support national and international collaboration/exchange in CSE
education.
Funding for the KCSE Graduate School is provided by Vetenskapsrådet (VR) from 2008 to 2012.
School Organization
The KCSE graduate school is part of the KTH Computational Science and Engineering (KCSE) Centre.
The organization and administration of the research school is handled by the Director of Studies Philipp Schlatter (Mechanics).
KCSE Board
The KCSE Board (Director of the Board: Prof. Dan Henningson, Mechanics) formally decides on school rules (admission, requirements), the support for course
developments, and distribution of student grants
(after recommendation by KCSE executive group).
Director of Studies
The practical organization and administration of the school is handled by the Director of Studies, including course coordination and management of course development/follow-up. He is also the contact point for all questions regarding the graduate school. The seminars and colloquia are also handled by the director of study.
Advisory Group
The school is supported by an Advisory Groups, consisting of scientific representatives from the KCSE member departments and a student representative. The advisory board discusses feedback and follow-up of courses. Meetings are approximately 3-4 times per year.
